my Guess is you have a rotten Rad support. Because when the front lower piece rots it flexes enough for the fan blades to hit the shroud.

Where do you have the jack stands and where on the shroud is it hitting? I bet it goes away when you put it on the ground also. If the stands are on the front it will push the radiator toward the fan or flex in that direction.
