Default Carb questions

My q-jet has started spewing fuel form the front of the carb and all over my manifold. I am thinking of replacing it with a road demon. I am trying to figure out if the demon will just bolt onto my current manifold or do I need an adapter. I am currently running the edelbrock performer intake.

Default Re: Carb questions (Sigforty)

The manifold is a bit wider at the rear sides than the carb. It looks like it will work but there isn't much gasket mating surface. A lot of people have trouble with air leaks so Edlebrock came up with an adapter, Jeg's P/N 350-2732, it's 5.99 from Jeg's. You might also look at carb spacers. If the spacer is wider than the carb it should work in the same manor as the adapter. I'm doing this job in the next 2 weeks myself. I've got a 1 inch spacer already but I expect that I'll get the adapter.
