Default Question on New Valve Covers

I've ordered some ABEAR Motorsports (http://www.abearmotorsports.com) valve covers and and I have come up with the following engraving:

The covers will be anodized red. What do you think? Any other suggestions?

I'd put LS7 on there, not Z06.

And I don't think I'd put Corvette on there either.

It's a motor, not a car.

Well the FRC's say corvette on them too. I think it looks good.

I would delete the "chevrolet" and just put the "corvette Z06" right in the center.

That is my second choice.

I would have - 427 Corvette LS7 - to better identify the motor.

But thats just me.

How about "Corvette ZO6" on top and "427 LS7" below it?

Or just "427 LS7" or "427 505HP"
Your suggestion above I'm sure would look great though.

505HP doesn't work because I have more than that.

I have been thinking about those covers myself but I am worried about the coils overheating because they are fully enclosed. I know the manufacturer says "no problem" but I would expect them to say that. Does anyone have any actual experience using these for any length of time?

Well, I also have a Honda S2000 with a built, turbocharged engine puting out 585whp on 17 psi of boost. The coils are directly mounted onto the plugs and buried in the valve cover. I've never had a problem with the coils.

yeah, those look nice.

I would go with "Chevrolet Racing" on top "LS7-427ci" just under that.

OR something personal like, "if you can read this, owner is about to crush you!!!"

Just saw this...stopped me dead in my tracks...585 whp on a roller skate?! I'm thinkin...brave or crazy!

I like your "Corvette ZO6" on top and "427 LS7" below. However, I wonder if the engraving is bold enough....especially in red. Have you considered making the Corvette ZO6 on top in bigger bold italicized font, with a deeper wider engarving. Then the bottom 427 LS7 in a some what smaller font not italicized.

What do you think? Is there an option as to what color the engraved letters are in (e.g. black, silver) or will it be exposed machined surface? If machined, will it be clear coated to keep the lettering clean and clear?

PS I hope you know I was kidding in my last PM. Thanks again

Yep, I know you were kidding. I just didn't get a chance to respond because the wife and I went to the movies - Iron Man. Great show. As for a response to your PM, I think he is competing to replace Charlie Sheen in the leading roll of 2-1/2 men.

And yes, the Honda is scarry fast. It has to be respected.
