We all know there are some things that have to be done before others. For example if oyu have to do both brakes and suspension it wouldn't make sense to do the brakes then the suspension as you'd have to pull the brakes off again... I have my own sense of order but I'd like to hear what you all think..

I plan on the following (in no particular order)

Brakes (all around, complete)
Front suspension (mainloy bushings but I'll find more problems I'm sure)
Paint job
Weatherstripping
Replace or rechrome all the chrome (bumpers, trim etc.)
Interior carpet and recover seats
Guages (recondition all and rewire all)
Pedals (the bushings are all worn out and are sloppy)
Steering column (bit of looseness in upper column)
reinstall the BB (350 in in the car now)

So what "gotchas" will I encounter. What order would you do these things in. (And I know you'll all put the BB at the top...:D ))

HUGE Question but I took a shot at it. very simple rationale. Fix what will kill you first then worry about looks.

1. Brakes, gotta have them to stop or your road pizza
2. Pedals, if the pedals dont work you cant stop or go
3. Front suspension, if it is bad it can throw you into the next lane over a bump and your in serious trouble.
4. Steering column, again without it you might as well drive blind
5. Guages, cant get home without enough gas
6. reinstall the BB, nice but big project might just leave it alone
7. Interior carpet and recover seats, now you can make her look nice
8. Paint job, definetely last on the list big project
9. Weatherstripping, do this after paint job
10. Replace or rechrome all the chrome, nice but chrome wont get you home.

Stick to the stuff that will make your vette safe and fun to drive. You can worry about all the look good stuff later. :seeya
