Default 78 Silver Anniversary Price Question

Stopped by my friends bagel store this morning and he proceeds to tell me about a woman selling a '78 Anniversary Edition. The car belonged to her late husband and she just wants to get rid of it. He tells me she wants around $8000 but would take less. I have no information on the car and I haven't seen it but I would like to know, in general, what they are going for. Think it's worth a look?
Thanks,
Ben

Definitely worth a look but more info would be needed to determine its value.

Hey Ben,
I'm right here in Smithtown. A good friend of mine is looking for a C3 and would probably be interested in it. If you get any more info, please pass it on....JC

It's worth a look. Could have optional SA paint; could be only a stock 25th Anniversary; could be a Pace Car. Have a look-see.

Could just be a normal 78. You'd be amazed at the amount of people who(when referring to a red blue whatever color 78 say "Yeah this car is rare because it is a 25th anniversary edition, that makes it worth more" I guess they don't realize that all 78s have anniversary badges whether they are the anniversary edition or not.

Lol...all '78 are 25th anniversary editions. The 2 tone color is just an option like any other.

johnnyc,
I tried to e-mail you but it didn't work. I should have more info on Satruday. Send me an e-mail so I have a correct address or give me a ring - I am in the book. Later
Ben
