Let her drive yours. Tell her how HOT she looks driving in it. Take her out in it to places she likes to go. Then she will begin to associate the things she likes with the corvette. Pavlov's dog training. When she hears the vette start she will begin to salivate without knowing why.

I can't get her in the Vet. Had it for a couple of years and she has only been in it twice. I've even kept the stock exhaust on it, as attempt to keep it quiet. ( I have a set of sidepipes in the garage that I am dying to bolt on)

Take her to a few corvette shows where she can meet some other people who have vettes and with the friendships she gains she may learn to like them. My wife doesn't like to drive mine but she enjoys going and talking with friends we've met at the shows we go to! :flag

Bribe her. Cold Hard Cash for Vette Enthusiasm. Very few things turn a woman on like money hahahahahahaha. A buddy of mine had the same problem only related to Scuba Diving. His wife hated it. They struck a bargain. Every penny he spent on scuba equipment or trips he had to give her the same amount for her to do with it what she liked. He said he hd to plan double but now she loves it when he gets excited about doing some diving.

Stuff to do...
- Try to let her drive...alone...and even better would be a ride downtown. She'll love all the attention she'll get.
- Try to bring her to car shows and talk to people, try to put her in the mood.
If all this fails, get another wife. :)

Aready tried that. The deal was for every dollar I spent on painting the VET, she could spend $2 on remodeling the bathroom. Sounded fair enough. So I estimated the cost of the paint job and she went on a spending spree for remodeling the bathroom. Now the bathroom is done and she doesn't think the Vet needs to be painted!

I'm not sure I understand everyones point of trying to get her to like it. The way I see it, If she don't like it, she'll never borrow it. Furthermore, If she won't even ride with you in it, think of all the piece and quiet that you will enjoy. :D Just don't try to change her or we might see a thread later down the road titled " How do I get my wife to quit using my car" or "Why won't she shut up while I'm trying to enjoy a relaxing drive in my vette" :jester :jester

My wife also is stumped by my love affair with my 72 Vette. She's always loved sports cars and has owned T/A's for years, but Vettes do nothing for her. I can't figure it out and nothing I can do or say changes it. Maybe it's a "guy" thing. I don't know.

Re: Wife doesn't like VETS (midget)
Its not a guy thing its a chick thing. Think about it. We stare at them all the time. We spend money on them until we are broke. We talk to them for hours on end about nothing. Our every waking moment is spent on makeing them look and feel there best. We tuck them in at night and keep them out of the weather. We go freaking nuts when someone tries to hurt them. We take them fun and exciting places. We dress them in the finest clothes. We love showing them off to out friends. We never stop showing them affection. We dont ask them to do anything but look pretty and recieve all our affection.
CHICKS WANT TO BE VETTES.
It's jealously thing.

Re: Wife doesn't like VETS (dewayne4)
My wife isn't crazy about my vet either but whenever we take it any place I really try to drive very carefully, taking her for a WOT ride is stupid. If she decided to drive it and did that to you you would not like it either. She will never like it but at lease tolerate it. Don't get a new wife. Giving up is easy. Try to make it enjoyable for her. Last night we bought a new Bonneville SSEI Supercharged and I heard her telling her sister that it has a blower on it just like Norval's corvette. She is excited about having her own supercharged car. That is a little extreme to score points but we needed a new car anyway and she makes very good money.
Good luck with the wife and hang on to her.
