Default Storage compartment question

On the 3 compartment storage type, do you have to remove the whole door assembly to repolace the center storage tub?

Yeah, I replaced the whole thing before. I bought new frames and glued new carpet on each door. Should have realized I had to put that in before re-assembly. Damn, mark up the 3rd thing I had to re-do.

Thanks Ed

Thanks man. I ordered a lot of little finishing stuff this week. I got a new ash tray, dome light cover, the compartment bin, shift boot, acorn nuts, t-top locks stuff like that. Feels pretty good to be doing little stuff.

Now I can move on to some upgrades on the C5: CCW wheels, track tires, heads/cam.

Hey guys,
I am getting ready to rebuild my rear storage compartment doors and this thread has me confused and wondering how to begin this job.
I have a 68 and I thought all I have to do is remove the doors, recarpet them, replace the frames around edges of doors, and I would be done. Can someone who has been there and done this job give some very specific details, cautions, and procedures so I don't screw this up.
Thank you in advance,

EdT,
Thanks for the response.
My doors are hardboard or pressboard or whatever that stuff is.
Will that create any special problems?
