1 1/2 years, just bought my first performance part!
I finally did it, after a year and a half of getting my car to run like it should and replacing all athe worn out engine parts and rebuilding the front suspension I purchased my first performance part, nothing huge but I am excited. I got the Mallory performance HEI coil, Mallory wires, and new plugs. I will install them this weekend. Just thought I would share.

Christmas gift huh? So your in Fresno. I have a mother-in-law in Los Banos and am down there often. Lots of flat, straight deserted roads to test out the new parts.

Since you are into the ignition already, may I humbly suggest Lars' Ignition recurve kit available here for a minimal price......Guys here rave about it and mine is going in shortly...... :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: :seeya

Thanks guys.....the money is flying out of my wallet as I speak. I will search for info on the Lars timing kit so I can ask some educated questions. My idea was to attack each engine componet in a series starting with the ignition.-Travis

Nice move! That's the 1st mod I did to my '81. Let me know if you notice any difference once you've fitted it all. Mine ran better but I'm not sure if it was due to the new coil etc, or because the old leads & plugs were on the way out.
As stated above, it WILL snowball :yesnod: Dual 2 1/2" pipes was my next mod & that mod has a grin factor of 10!
