So this is how my 74 is SUPPOSED to RUN
Got the engine and Carb dialed in last night and went for a cruise....WOW what a huge difference Compression makes.....It is now right at 10.5:1 up from 8:5:1.....The 041 heads really let the engine breathe and the Response of the Holley 750 is pretty darn sweet....I am gonna run a couple of hundred miles befroe laying into it ...but the cam was areally wicked idle and hits extremely hard around 2000 to 2500 rpm's.........I am so Glad I spent the money for heads and a cam I would highly recommend the upgrade

Thats alot of work. I am glad your project turned out right. Somtimes getting it all dialed in can really suck. Sounds like you are batting a 1000. Great job. Glad you like it. :seeya

When you get use to the performance you have now what will happen?
You will have to stroke the motor to get another trill, then what? OK, a little bit of NOS will need to be added....NOS..NOS, I need to get NOS..What then..Big block, thats it..more cubes and then a blower..
Where does it all end..
Glad to hear the mods are working out, can't wait to get mine rolling again.
