I have been running a 650dp for the past 15 years. I finally had to rebuild it earlier this year. It has run perfectly for all of the different cam, intake and head setups that this motor has had throught the years. I have thought about switching to a 700, but it probably wouldn't gain me more than a few hp at peak rpm, so I never bothered.

Give it a try. I have a 800 dp spreadbore, that I swap out a lot.... YOu can't beat the top end charge of that carb... yeah I know its too big..... I have no low end torque but like I said the top end charge is unbeatable.
Your 650 should give you the low end torque taht I a missing but you'll get that amazing top end charge.
Have fun!

I've got a 650 DP on mine and it cured all of my carb related problems. Can't beat them IMHO. :chevy

I have a 650 on the race car, and a 600 on the vette, either way you go you will be fine.
If you check the holley site they have the formula for computing necessary cfm for any given application, but a 350 with expected rpm range of 4500-5500 you will be fine with a 650 (or 600, which is set up to run rich from the factory like stock)
I'm still not sure if I like the race car better with the 600 or the 650.
Have fun

I run a Quick Fuel technology 650 dumble pump carb with vacuum secondaries.
The throttle response is instant and crisp. It is a Holly frame carb built by Quick fuel. You ought to give there web site a look before paying for a Holley. http://www.quickfueltechnology.com/ They stand 100% behind there product. Money well spent in my opinion.

I have a 650, and it performs very well. My only complaint is the fuel lines enter it on the horizontal instead of a 45 degree incline like many other carbs and the Quick Fuel shown above. The horizontal feed creates air cleaner clearance issues with the fuel line.
