Yes, Slight trimming both sides same place(no pics). Nothing functional Was involved in the trim. Just a little rocker panel meat needs to be smoothly radiused off so the headers dont contact them right where they wrap around to the side of the car. Original GM side pipes conversion also require this trim(Im pretty shure), so I dont consider it a "chop" by any standard.
Hooker gives the specs of the trim and says it "may" be necessary. With my car, it was. They give some other Trim considerations too, but they werent of concern with my car. Its all real straight forward bolt on with a little engine prep. and alot of getting the car securely ..WAAYY.. up in the air, all corners.
I strongly think the installation may be more problematic..if the car is AC equipped. Mounting to the Head may require a Mod??But youd have to ask someone who's done it with AC..
It was sure worth the effort to me, both cosmetically and performance profile. They really changed the dynamics of my car. She's much more powerful looking and sounding now. And didnt hurt her a bit in my opinion
Also, JCL , a member of this forum makes Baffles for these tubes, They are the way to Go if you want or need Maximum flow from your car..His website details the considerations very well. :D

Looks great!! Thanks for the great pics!! I'm planning to install some
next spring, and have been concerned about the ease of installation.
I do have AC, but do not have the clutch problem.
I assume that the install was as easy as you indicated. :)
