ANY 82 OWNERS HERE????/
How many 1982 corvette owner in this club? and if so is there anyone that know how hard it is to put a inake and carb on a 82. i cant find out what is wrong with it. The fuel sprays and stops, sprays and stops.

something like that and when i give it gas it pops i have cleaned the injectors. i have replace the filters and im about to shoot it. :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad

Sorry I didn't reply sooner I was in a phone booth changing.LOL Regardless of the verbal abuse X-fire's recieve from some "Naturally Aspirated" people they are very reliable. Might try over at the CrossFire Injection Vault http://www.crossfire.homeip.net/

Bandy123, I was able to get to the WEB Site. I had a problem with my '82 a number of years ago. Occasionally only one fuel injectors would fire, had a heck of a time finding the problem. It turned out to be the computer, not the prom but the computer itself.

Make sure your timing is right. If the timing is too far off, it will cause that backfire through the intake as well. Harmonic balancer might have slipped making it seem like the timing is correct as well.

Hi fellow 82 owners!
Mine is one of those that has been converted to carburation. I did it for performance reasons, not because it was a bad system. There is nothing wrong with the ole' missfire system and there are certainly a few on this forum that know how to tune them properly. Unless you are looking for very significant gains in performance there is no real reason to convert. Just go to the links, ask questions and before you know it she'll be running like a top!

Thanks Guys i guess im putting on the dino in the morning. ODennis i want your car!!!! LOL want to trade. i would have to have boot. ha ha j/k. but I have when throw ever thing i cant to help the car with no luck. like I said i just got the car and i do love it. i just need to have faith in it. I had a 73 up until 3 years ago. When a DRUNK STATE TROOPER came across a 2 lane and put me in the hospital for 7 months .and it took 3 rolebacks to get my car to the scap yard. thats One reason Iwant this one going.
