Hello every one. This will be the official thread for a nine year old girl named Alli Knowles that is loosing the battle with a rare form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. She has been fighting hard and honestly doesn't know the end is near. The doctors have given her a couple of weeks to live. She loves speed and fast cars so I am organizing a cruize and ride for her. One of her last requests was to ride in a fast Corvette. I would love it if any one local can help me out with this task. I am planning a trip to her house on Saturday the 10th to give her a ride in any of the cars of her choosing. Any show of support will be greatly appreciated.

The other issue is the financial burden it has taken on her less than fortunate family. They are currently $45,000 in debt due to batteling this illness. One of her other last requests is to make a trip to Animal Kingdom in Florida. She loves animals. So I am asking for any one willing to contribute for her trip to please donate anything they can. The paypal site the money will go to is brettz06@yahoo.com. Every penny that paypal does not take will go to the family.

The Make A Wish Foundation has been contacted on her behalf to meet Adam Sandler. They said they would make it happen but the family has heard nothing in return on the issue. So I feel it is up to us to help out. I am going to post a picture of her and her address for any one that wants to contribute straight to the family's home as soon as her mother 0K's it.

I would like to give a huge thanks to 50th@50 for all of his hard work in the last day or so. None of this would be happening with out his compassion. NJvette has also put alot of work into this as well.

I think her picture will really help compell this blessed effort, hope that can happen.

All I can say is I am overwhelmed with everyones generosity and support. I keep having to update the contribution list, which I don't mind doin in the least. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Most of you will never know how much you are doing for a family and a special little girl.

How far is this from ATL? I might be able to get an '09 Viper there.

Roughly 376 miles.

But you should make it in about 45 minutes with the Viper.

My Viper buddy is big hearted but I don't know about 800 miles on a brand new viper big hearted. I'll check it out!

So the Viper get's some break in miles. Every motor needs to be loosend up. There is a nice hotel right at the exit I am told. I was PM'd by another member in the ATL that was interested in comming out. You two should hook up and roll out together.

Update: I tried contacting the family at 7:30 this evening with no response. Which tells me they are still at the hospital. I am praying it isn't bad news. I will try to contact them in the morning.

I wonder what the chance is of a local Chevy dealer donating a vette for a weekend or whatever so her parents can take her around. I am sure she will love the ride but as a parent that would be a lasting memory if they were the one taking her.

Wow, this is the type experience that will stay with you forever.

Mr. Brett Stewart, you deserve a medal or something for your involvement, for your leadership for your goodness. For your courage.
Your the reason this is happening and we are all united with you, as links in a chain. A good strong chain.

And now there is a picture of Alli, an angelic face with the most piercing beautiful blue eyes. A warm smile that is so natural, I am humbled and stilled.

We are hopefully, on the cusp of something good and happy and upbeat for Alli.

Though my heart is very very heavy with the immediate seriousness of her plight, and I cannot stop the tears from rolling down my cheeks as I write this (because seeing her picture for the first time does help make it more real, Alli is beautiful, always will be, and it radiates from within), I take strength in knowing, God has not called this Angel to come join his side.

God has not finished his intention with Alli , from my perspective.

To help make us better more greatful more compassionate and caring fellow human beings.

Thank you Alli, thank you God, IT IS YOU TWO HELPING US. You let us express and share the single most important thing in life,,, LOVE.

There are no good byes,, only forevers,, remember this always.
