Default Tie rod end removal question

Is there a trick to getting the inner tie rod end off of the control arm?

I've gotten the steering knuckle off and the outer tie rod end, but there is no way to swing a hammer to get the tie rod threaded end out of the control arm.

Any ideas?

Use a tie rod end puller (which is less likely to damage your tie-rod anyway). You can usually borrow these from auto parts stores.

Do you mean off the steering link? It's the bar that both inner tie rods connect to??

The outer tie rod connects to the steering knuckle.

Yea, I meant the steering link.

Thanks. I think that autozone has loaner tie rod end pullers.
