I voted Zaino, but since my paint is, let's say, less-than-perfect, and I believe that Zaino emphasizes the good and the bad of a paint job, I'd use Liquid Glass or Formula 2001 if I didn't have $80 and a lot of hours invested in my Zaino finish.

Where can I purchase Zaino from? And about how much does it cost? I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Default Collinite's, anybody else try it?

It can be difficult to find but does a great job. I haven't tried Zaino and won't knock it until I get the chance to. (Try it not knock it) One thing is for sure, the Insulator Wax costs around $8 a bottle; heck of a lot cheaper than Zaino. But like I said, I havn't tried Zaino yet so maybe it is that much better. In my personal opinion though, No. 845 rocks!!!

I know this may sound a little crzy, but.......Trewax, its a boat wax.
Shines great, and lasts for a loooooooong time....think of the beating a boat takes from salt water and sun....

Presta products seem very good, cheaper than Zaino, latest technology, body shop safe, cleans up with water, is a correction product not a fill in or cover up, which result in NO Swirls, do the steps correctly and you'll be amazed. :D :)

Default STOP!!! DONT DO IT

STOP!! a very friendly bit of not-so-well-known advice- if your paint is in good enough condition to have a good clear coat on it, DO NOT USE WAX. it doesnt allow the paint to "breathe" as it should, and actually can cut down on your clear coat life. clear coats were designed by people much smarter than you or I to replace wax, when cars didn't come with a special protective clear coat. when you wax your car, it does buff it and make it shiny, but removes micro particles off your clear coat. and, it makes water bead up on the paint. this is another myth- this can be bad, you want it to sheet off. again, youll notice that clear coats sheet off water, it was designed to do this by again, people smarter than you or I(thats why they get payed the big money) this is important to the paint beacause when water beads up on the paint, and dries, youll notice little spots, right? this is the micro grit that sits on top of the car, eating into the paint. it is essentially like sand. the leading cause of paint fade and destruction is letting water dry onto the paint. again, it deposits chemicals and grit onto the car shortening the life of the clear coat. wax destroys the very thing it is supposed to protect- your paint. the clear coat was designed to do that- protect your paint. let it do it's job, keep it clean and wax free. be sure to always dry the car w/a chamois after washing it. this isn't just my opinion, i have 3 relatives is the car business- one owns a local body shop, the other owns a car dealership, and the last works for porsche as a head designer and they all agree on this. think about it. if wax really helped cars that much, why dont car dealerships wax their cars that sit outside in open lots? theres a reason. again, just my advice. i want to keep my vette in pristine condition, and i stand by this belief. if someone has a strong opinion about waxing their car, then dont take this the wrong way, and don't flame me. I respect your beliefs and this is in no way an order, or command, just a suggestion. most of all, enjoy your all american muscle car. :flag

Also, just FYI. There is no PURE carnuba wax. In pure form carnuba is like a brick, so there are things added to soften it. About the most carnuba in wax is something like 60% or so, in some of the high end Zymol waxes. Also, in response to one of the emails where the guy is saying not to wax a car: Lets see, a dealer does detail most cars ONCE when the get them, with wax, if they are used. Also, many manufacturers say to give a new vehicle at least a 30 day curing period once it hits the lot. However, this varies from manufacturer. Dealers also are not going to waste their money waxing other peoples cars for them while they are sitting on a lot when they are brand new, there is no reason for it. They always just hire a guy with a high pressure washer to go BLAST the hell outta the paint with 300+ or so PSI. Just my opinion to the email.
