Chrome plating costs?
The rear bumpers on our '73 could use some new plating. They are straight, but have very minor pitting on the top rear surfaces. What would be an average cost for refinishing them for a driver? The car is not going to be shown anywhere except a casual cruise-in once in a while, so I don't need a top quality job that is best suited for a trailer queen. What have some of you paid for a job like that?

blu73. You might want to check out Custom Chrome Plating in Grafton, Ohio. Ask for Jon Wright. He can ball park you a price if you can either send good pictures, or take them over to the shop. Grafton is about 15 miles South of Elyria. Tell him JCL sent you. 440-926-3116   :chevy

Re: Chrome plating costs? (blu73)
I'm having mine done while it's at the body shop gettting the nose repainted, they told me about 150 a piece to be rechromed, plus 50 bucks to R&R both bumpers. I'd normally pull the bumpers myself but figured if the body shop messed up while taking them off at least they would repair it for me free.

I paid $175 each about a year ago at Librandi's in Harrisburg PA. I didn't ask for show chrome but that is what I got. They did a beautiful job. Craig :chevy
