I had a good street race today with a new Carrera. The Porsche took off and I nailed it in 1st gear. I get no traction so the tires were spinning good but still caught him quick. I short shifted to 2nd to get better traction and pulled away from him like he was stopped. Hit 3rd and and I was gone. I slowed down and at the next light and he rolled down his window and was amazed at how fast the "old vette" was.

He said it was a great car.

These kinds of things make all the work almost worth while.

It sure feels great when all of the hard work pays off. It's been a long time since I have had a street race, but there is nothing better than that adrenaline rush. Beating someone that easily is even better.

The funny part about the whole thing is the Porsche guy will be telling himself that you spent JUST as much on your car as the Porsche to make himself feel better! :lol:
