Default Half Shaft Upgrade?

Where can I find upgraded half shafts to replace the stock ones? I want to build the rear end drive train to live through the use of slicks.

I can't remember the site but there is a place on the Internet. If I remember correctly they are forged half shafts....and they were around $1000-$1500 for the setup  . I would be a bit more worried about the rear end itself than the half shafts.

Try Tom's differentials at http://www.tomsdifferentials.com Expensive, but bulletproof.

Hum! I was told by a reliable source that the half shafts and u-joints are the first to go. Is this true are is the rear end the first thing that attention?

Tom's Differentials is the place to go.
Got their 12-bolt upgrade and half shaft upgrade for
my blown 532 (stroked ZZ502). The use of the ATI D3R blower with
this beast made me do the upgrde..

Actually you are correct. Your u-joints will go first...your half shafts may go next, but I would be worried about the rear end. The Corvette rear end just wasn't meant to have the power put to it. Once you get the half shafts and u-joints to the point where they are "bulletproof" what do you think will be the next to go? Just thought I'd point that out because I'm going through the same thing right now :)

Yep, U-joints are the place to start. I'm getting ready to replace mine with Lakewood forged parts, but they're big bucks ($45 a piece). I'm building a new big block to go with the new U-joints.
