what finish for transmission shifter linkages and driveshaft
on my 70 coupe small block with 4 speed muncie, I have the shifter out and have cleaned all the crud off the linkage rods and the shifter mechanism. What is the original color finish? I want to restore to original. What paints to use? What about the drive shaft. My manual says "bright natural". How do I get that finish with paints? Thanks is advance for your time

Check out http://www.eastwoodco.com They have all kinds of paints for restoring cars.

For originality, the driveshaft should be left unpainted. But I'm not into the NCRS thing, and I hate rust, so I painted mine with Eastwood's Detail Gray, which is a beautiful paint and very easy to apply.
I don't have any pics handy, but this pic here shows the rear end and 1/2-shafts, painted the same color:
