Default 2nd newbie for today, Howdy all!!!!

Today was my first day locating this site and since I am a corvette owner/enthusiast, I thought I would go ahead and join up. I will be glad to thrown in my limited expertise to the collective knowledge of the board. To give you the basics on me, I live in Sunny Orlando Florida, and I purchased a Red 1970 350 300hp Stingray about 3 years ago. Like a lot of you on this board it is my daily driver and the only car I own. It's really in great shape, but compared to some I've already seen on this site it's far from the best. I, like most Vette owners, put a lot of time and money into upgrading and replacing older less than perfect parts, and I don't see an end to this persuit. I am not a part of any clubs right now but I did join the 1970 Corvette Registry a couple of month's ago. Now what's all this talk about a big car show in Orlando in January. What are the costs associated with attending this show if you don't mind me asking. I look forward to be an active and humerous member of the boards.

Shane, Welcome, you have now found the best C3 site on the net.

The show in Orlando in Jan is 23-27 and has different parts to it. Auction, swap meet, NCRS judged show, car corral, etc. It is at the Hyatt Orlando Complex at that Irlo Bronson Hwy and Int 4 interchange. Others can fill you in on the cost, I'm sure. :yesnod:

I found this one picture still on my hard drive, it ain't great, but it's what I have for now. The car is no longer that color though as I was rear ended in May and after 4 months and over $8000 dollars I got her back with a new Corvette Red paint job, not the Original Monza red it started out as.....still looks great though....no frame damage, just fiber glass and the exhaust and mufflers took a beating.

Welcome neighbor.... First... the NCRS meet has a huge vendor/fleamarket area free. The show is inside. I don't know the cost .....but you can spend couple of days and your entire life savings at the flea market. You can also buy/sell cars there. Check out Classic Corvettes of Orlando's web site, they are the host club. They meet on the second Monday of every month at Piccadilly's on Colonial between Fern Creek and Bumby. I live near Conway and Curry Ford. As for humor... You have to have a sense of humor to live here. I just tell visitors to set their watch back 35 years.:cuss

Yes, my daughter does believe she will own it one day, but knowing that some things are genetic and also knowing that her mom can't drive.......I don't think so!!!!! ;) I'm going to have to run to kinkos today to scan my other pics. I took this one with my $99 dollar digital camera and I guess you get what you pay for :) :) :)
