Default I took the car down the steet last night.

Hey all
After my garage rentavation(sp) with the front end of my car, I have come along way. I I got the car to idle :cuss And bled the brakes. Got the front clip glued on. :) . So with headers and just 3 ft of pipes on it I took her down the street last night. She ran like :U But she hauled me to the stop sign and back. I am about to enter the phase that I don`t have the right tools or the touch to do very well getting the timing and the Edlebrock dialed in. I am thinking if I keep taking it up and down the road like it is one of my neighbors will come over with a timing light and tach& dwell meter just so they don`t have to listen to the garbage truck sound going up and down the road. What do you think good Idea ???
I will try to post somemore pics tonight.

Good looking project Bob.It's no big deal to time the motor.Go to Sears and
get you a timing light and a dwell meter and a good book on motors and you
will enjoy tuning that 350 motor up.Maybe a good neighbor will come to
your rescue but its the fun part of working on your vette if you have the know how and the tools. You can get very good books at your local Library
on motor repair and tuneup.

I'm very impressed that you glued the front clip on. You know how many Vette's i've looked at where some Bubba has riveted it on or found some other wrong way to do it? Right on! Good to see people doing things the right way.

It was very difficult to glue it back on. I used Bondo like they did when they built the car I did one side at a time. What made it hard was I had already glued the fiberglass front bumper to the clip. It took 7 test fits to get everything to fit right. One thing I did not think about was the headlight assy`s. I have had to take them apart and install then what a bugger.

Hey Bob it looks like you have been busy lately. Get your full exhaust on then fine tune her. If you did a full engine overhaul make sure you dump the oil after a few runs because that is when there is a lot of fine partcals in the oil. But you knew that already right?
