Default frame off w/o damaging body paint?

I'm looking at this website and it apears they did a frame off without damaging the body paint, and they just droped the body back on, and where on their way. It also apears they did rocker arm repairs too.

Is this possible? :jester

Sure it's possible. In fact, if you damage the body or paint while lifting the body off the frame, you're not doing it right or you're a real goofball. Rocker arms are on the engine, so I assume you're referring to the door rocker. Can't answer that one. Be warned though that taking the body off the frame is not for the weak-hearted. There is much more that goes into this than you could possibly imagine.

ya I ment rocker panels...under the doors or whatever.

I don't plan on doing it, I was just asking, because Im looking at a website that did it, and its weird. I mean I figured it could be done, but I've never seen it before. And I also questioned it because of wear and tear the body would go through even if your very careful...

When I lifted mine off, Granted I did not have a front clip to damage paint on. I had no paint damage, scratches or any issues on the rest of the car.

We put my body on the frame after we had it painted, no problum, so the reverse can be done.

The other thing to consider is that this body was painted before it was installed on the frame going down the assembly ine. If a bunch of GM assembly line workers, having an average or worse than average day, can drop a body so can six or seven guys. This assumes that they use care and don't start drinking beer until after the body drop.
