Default T-top weatherstrip instal tips

I just got some and finally got one top cleaned of old weatherstrip.
Do I use some adhesive or just pop it all on there and let it contour it self to the cars top all winter?
Its not a daily driver and hopefully never get any foul weather.
Its a 79 if that matters and fiberglass painted tops
Thank you.

In theory, that's all there is to it. In reality, your mileage may vary. I did all my weatherstrip at once and found it to be a huge PITA getting the glass to match to the new stuff. I've had the door panels and tops off 3 times and am still getting a trickle down my neck. My best advise is be VERY generous with the adhesive, coating both surfaces completely as water can find the very smallest imperfection and ruin your whole day. Here's a good resource:

I used WS adheisive on mine. I had NO leaks from the t top wheatherstripping after, instead the water was seaping in between the t top trim and the body. (rollbar section) Silicon cured that.
