Default Snow Storm Hits Hawaii

Glad I wasn't driving over the top of Mauna Kea on the Big island of Hawaii or to the top of Haleakala on Maui.....Snow and blizzard conditions today....burrrrr I get cold and the shivers just thinking about it......so glad to be down here on the island of Oahu....where the winds exceeded 50+ knots with gust up to 60+ knots......Winds on Mauna Kea and Haleakala were in excess of 100 knots........I guess winter is finally here in Hawaii.....I think I'll go pop the T-tops and take a cruise around the island to check the extent of wind damages or the height of the waves on the north shore....ho-hum....sooooo...here wishing all you guys up there in reindeer land a nice sunny day...... :seeya :D

Glad to see you made it through the wind ok.

Yeah, Phoenix is a good example of that lately -- we have been in the 40-50's when we normally are in the 60's to high 70's

We have been getting snow above 4000 feet and frost warnings most every night now.

BRRRRRR !! (well for US it's cold)

jeeze you guys out on the pacific coast need company...

About the surfing, a little of topic, i was fishing out on cape up at Hatteras... for red drum, so the hooks on these surf rods were pretty big, this surfer comes by and swims through the lines, my first thought we can real em in and ask how we should cook him, deep fry'd or grilled?

How about sending some cool air down this way!!!!! Forecast high for today...83 and humid!!!! It's supposed to be in the mid to low 70's this time of year. We've had a high sitting on top of us for the past three weeks and believe it or not, you do get tired of the hot weather. Wife is complaining she doesn't have any holiday T-shirts. :cry

I have been to the top of Halieakala (sp???) in late June - 70's at base, freezing or near at top. Surprised me also! Freezing in Hawaii in June? What!

Wind blew so hard last night that I lost a bunch of roofing material. There goes all of my "Vette" money that I've been saving. Gotta repair the roof.

8T1-7T9 BIONIC VETTE,
Man, I gotta be honest with you. I don't usually care for customized Vettes, but yours is an exception to that rule. Very tastefully done. I dig the color too. :)

BTW- You suck for living in Hawaii! j/j Here in Tennessee, if you don't like the weather, just give it 10 minutes. :D

The snow we get here is pretty much limited to the summits of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa and Haleakala. Mauna Kea is about 14,000 ft above sea level, but it's still around 80 degrees at the beach. Partial solar eclipse going on right now, very
