Almost all the parts vendors (i.e. Ecklers, CC, Mid-America, etc.) resell their carpets. I bought direct from them & saved some $$$. Carpet was good quality & fit except for the rear panel that needed some trimming.

I had a quality problem with ACC on a 80/20 loop for my '69.
An ACC salesman admitted to me they did have some problems for a short time..
With the help of Sam at The Last Detail my issue was taken care of and ACC explained things are back to the way they were and after getting my replacement peices I agree.
Nice carpet.

bought my ACC carpet thru the last detail, atlanta, georgia. i paid $225,but mine's a 79,yours would be cheaper. the ACC carpet was ok,but others have had problems. try romeo engineering, they have been mentioned many times on this subject in this forum. they are supposed to be good unless you need an unusual color. i recall someone waited quite awhile for their carpet because it wasn't a popular color.

I have bought five sets of carpet from ACC. The first two about five yrs ago were great. The last three were bought about one -two years ago and the quality was very bad, and the fit was terrible. I had to do alot of cutting and trim work to make them fit. They were very thin.

I will probally not buy from them again.

I put an ACC carpet kit in a 66 Mustang coupe last year.... It looked and fit better than the Ford OEM carpet the car came with. This thing fit like a glove.
I was so impressed I bought another kit from them for the Corvette. I'm waiting for a nice, hot, California day to install it. Once they soften up in the sun, they're a breeze.

I got the bad batch too.... Terrible fit! Had to fight with the damn thing for 3-4 days to make it presentable!

Now, what is really difficult is to find an alternative. Heard good things about Romeo Eng., but also heard of many people who simply gave up after waiting for ages....

ACC is the largest supplier of restoration grade carpeting. The majority of the vendors carry it so it's difficult to purchase another brand. The opinion of it's quality will vary from member to member, and so will it's fit. Although no carpeting is manufactured to just "drop in" without trimming. How much trimming will vary according to manufacturing runs. (quality control) I have found through my own expierence, and reading many posts, that the general concensus of ACC is good fit but medium quality. Others have taken the time to purchase high quality roll carpet from a supplier, to form and fit it into their cars. Looks great, will wear like iron, but takes time and skill to turn out right. Proper molding is not easy, and pros use a steamer for permanent form.
Hope I've helped..... Good luck
