Another "Vette Barn" Success Story
Okay, so I got a little carried away with mods this year. Might have had a little something to do with the amount of time I've been spending with Gary up at the "Barn." Guess I'll let the pictures tell the story for me...
Spring 2006
Spring 2007
Spring 2008
Just getting started.
Those slicks did a number on the inner fender liners.
Shortly after the rough cut for the brake ducts.
Plenty of help from Gary to get the handles and ducts smooth.
Now we're making progress!
Can you say "filthy?"
Almost ready for paint!
Oh no! You caught me in the act.
Sneak peak of the new rear end.
I literally sanded my finger tips off after a couple days... for real.
All ready for the tow truck now.
Heading out to see Barry Moore at Nansemond Auto in Suffolk.
Back from paint and ready for assembly!
I think the brake ducts came out great!
Almost there! Only a few parts left now.
Are you getting excited???
(Insert drum-roll here...)

And the finished product...
This pic was taken at the 7th Annual Vettes at Waterside on Saturday.
I think the car came out great! I love driving it again and I feel like everyone on the road is staring at me. I even had a couple guys snap a pic of it at a stop light. I couldn't have done this alone. I could go on for days thanking each and every one of my friends that lended a helping hand when I needed it most. I would like to especially thank Gary (GB Vette) for not only allowing me to take on such a project in his shop but for also guiding me and volunteering everything from tools to wisdom. The car would not be what it is today without him. With that said, I would also like to name a handful of other people who have helped me along the way. Mike (Illmac77), goes without saying. I know I can count on you anytime anywhere for anything. It will definitely not be the same without you, Ambra, and Jakob. I wish you all the best of luck in Texas.
Barry@Nansemond Auto- I couldn't be happier with your work or customer service. Looking forward to doing more projects with you in the future.
Jeff@Super Car Care- Where do I start? You've been taking care of me for years. I'm a customer for life!
Stefan@D2Autosports- Thanks for everything. Great guy to do business with. Highly recommended!
Claude@WCMC- Excellent service! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you in exchange.
Ed@The HP Factory- Thanks for your genuine efforts to get my tune 100% perfect. I appreciate the dedication.
Stewert@Hall Chevrolet- It's hard to find a good parts guy these days... guess I just got lucky. Thank you.
Mark (stormrider), Brian (Cobra4B), Roger (OBXfunn), Draper Padgett, Kevin Smith, Kyle (justmitoy), Dickie Glessner, Chris (99FormulaM6), Beau Knoch, Parth Patel, Chris Ritter, Justin Turner, and Lee (Jroush06)... Thanks for everything. You have all been great to me. Once again, the car would not be what it is today without each and every one of you. Even the small stuff adds up in a big way on a project like this. I can't thank you enough!
Here's a few more pics from Mike's going away party at the "Barn"

Melting Slicks
Your Vette looks great Casey, almost as good as the pewter one behind it in the last picture In all seriousness, you worked your butt and finger prints off for the past 3 months and it shows. GREAT JOB you did the Barn proud
P.S. Casey got a trophy in his first show last weekend

Hey Glenn
You've got my step son (illmac77) coming to Wiley in August Look out for him bud
I aspire to be GB Vette jr. some day. I have the initials, some of the knowledge and some of the tools. Sure hope I can help others when I'm . . . . Nah, I better not finish that thought.
