I have a history ? with fenders
I am a new vette owner for 2 months. From What I can figure the prior owner replaced the hood (from a 74' I assume for more clearance),
replaced the front nose clip (because there are no screw holes for the nose badge)
and replaced the rear body panels (because there is no "corvette" badge, and the alarm switch is back there)
My questions are: does this look like the normal "wheel flare" or are these larger?
When was this rear fin aftermarket part made? I havent seen it in any current catalogs.
thanks in advance!

The rear spoiler look like a 78 Pace Car spoiler molded into the fiberglass. Do yo have any better photos?

I've never seen a spoiler like that. It looks like something a good bodyshop could pull off using a Z28 spoiler as a mold though. The flares look like mine to me, but I think they widened them in'72. The hood's definately an L88 hood.

Re: I have a history ? with fenders (SteveG75)
unfortunally SteveG I do not have any other photos. But I assume the rear fender clip was bought as one hole part. I assume this because the wheel fenders are flared out larger and the lack of "corvette" emblem. The prior owner had this car for 15 years, and never said anything about new body panels. Granted it could have been in a wreck (shudddder... ) and the prior owner never told me. Im courious when this WING-ding happend. (HA get it! wing-ding...dammm in so funny!)
Either the late 70's or mid 80's.
thanks to everyone for the complments. this is my first plunge into vette' ness and so far I havent been hosed. (HA! anotherone! plunge & hosed... man I gotta quit my day job and become a comic)

The front flares look stock to me but the back ones don't. The holes for emblems could have just been filled in.
Nice car and good weather all year long!
Now go join the '71 registry!

Flares look stock to me. Hood is an aftermarket L-88 type and is not from a '74. Rear spoiler is also aftermarket. It's possible panels have not been replaced and the emblem holes filled. No way to tell for sure unless you can see evidence of poor body work or can manage to take a look from the undersides of the panels. Cruise and enjoy.:) Remember: Sharks Drivers WAVE!!!
