I can have it fixed for about $150 canadian. The guy wants to file down the ugly stuff and weld in new material and then of course, polish it.

i scuffed a trim ring last summer after some yahoo in a navigator boxed me in. :mad i wasn't to worried about it, until i discovered how much an original GM ring costs! i was able to use some fine grit sandpaper to repair it a bit, but that is just temporary, until i order a bunch of stuff in the new year. sucks though... i hate SUV's

Kelvin's wheel here in Saskatoon does wheel repair for people all over the country. Our antique auto club toured his facility's a while back . it is amazing what they can do. I watched them remove.0000001:) off a wheel with a CNC machine. It has all wheel manufacturers wheel specs digitized to remove as little as the surface rust. The dealers send him the most work.

I've heard of them before. We have a place called Regina Wheel Works (it's actually in White City) and I guess the guy that runs the place was trained by Kelvin.

Sorry ladies, but the majority of these motorists take hubby's Navigator, Expedition, F-350 crew cab, Taeho etc. out running errands, and can't menuever them properly in traffic or in parking lots worth a lick. I also observe hubby, driving this monsterous SUV like he does his Lexus. They were just not engineered to perform the same as a car. When will they get a clue?? I see this on a daily basis here. Now I'll probably catch alot of flack from the female forum members, flame me if you must, but this is my observation on a daily basis up in northern Illinois. :reddevil
Didn't mean to change the subject, sorry.. just venting while the pills kick in :D

Sorry to see that buddy. I have smacked a few rims myself. Fixing them can be done but be carefull. Make sure the wheel can be re-balanced before you pay him. I have been burned on this one before. Wheel looked okay but took darn near a boat anchor in weight to make it balance and I had a horrible vibration from it. Looks can be decieving. Good luck, let us know how it turns out. :seeya

What, your car didn't have the very rare option CF4, Curb Feelers? You can probably pick some up on E-bay for $1,000. :D
