Hi all,

I am getting conflicting ansers at Mid America and corvette centeral..
I was hoping someone could help me out..

I have a 1978' vette with a 2 1/4" Spring. I am about to buy a new rear spring plate cover.. well the catalogs list 63-77 and 78-79... The problem is in 1978 there were both 2 1/4 and 2 1/2" springs offered.. but pre 1978 were all 2 1/4 and post 1978 were 2 1/2"

I assume I need to buy the 63-77 spring plate for my car.. Is this true?

Any suggestions before I go and buy both?

I think what will determine the type of plate and spring is your rear end cover, isn't it?

In 78 thay changed the dia. of the bolt so the holes in the plate will be a diffrent size .When I rebuilt the rear suspension last winter in my77 i got all my parts from vette brakes .Thay can tell you which one you need ,thay also have good parts and prices :seeya
