I thought it had a 4bl but found out it had a 2bl??
I took the carb off my '89 350 last night and what I discovered kinda shocked me. All along I thought this 350 had a 4 bl intake and carb. Instead under the carb I didn't find a huge 4bl intake hole but just 2 large holes---Maybe 2 inches in diameter each??
I wonder how much more HP this 350 coulda cranked with a decent 4bl carb?

Is it Throttle body injection or Carb? My 90 GMC truck has a 2 barrel TBI.

Aove the the two butterflys will be two"bulbs" these are the fuel injectors. Its basically a glorified Carb.
If and when you switch the intake remember that the two center bolt holes
on each side of the intake manifold are at a different angle than the rest. Ie, an normal intake manifold will not work without modification

I'll be using other heads though!

What a minute, how did someone even get a TBI unit on a car with port injection and how'd they get it to run? It a big job just to convert over to Throttle body injection from multi port injection? why would someone go to all that trouble? :(

Yeah An 87+ intake will work or putting the original vette heads you have on the new block will work also.
Killian, I don't know if you are joking or being serious. Could you tell me?

If I remember correctly, the engine that 1970 Stingray is referreing to is an '89 350 out of a Suburban that he is rebuilding, not an 89 Corvette motor.
