Default Hey '69 Owners...

Could some please tell me the correct color for the word 'BRIGHT' on the speedo when your highbeams go on?
The speedo I pulled out of the car had a red warning, the replacement I just got has a bluish warning.
Easy enough to swap the lens while the gauge is apart, I just want to make sure I put the correct color in.
Thanks...

The speedo I pulled out of the car had a red warning, the replacement I just got has a bluish warning.
The red highbeam warning is correct for the entire 1969 model year. This is also supposed to be true for the first month of 1970 production as well; after that, the warning changed to blue for the rest of the 1970 model year.

I'll have to check my early '70 and see if that holds true... Regardless, you're safe going with the red warning for your '69

Mine is Red - I cannot inform you as to whether correct or not. I would assume it indeed is correct.

Thanks for all the replies...
Looks like red it is - good thing too, now I don't have to also rip out the tach for a matching 'BRAKE' light!

I have a car with a blue light and a car with a red light, both I think are original (haven't check the other car). The blue one was early in the production run, number 3 or 4 thousand.
