Video: Before and After Shorty Headers
I took a video of my essentially stock 2000 coupe with the A&A exhaust mod both before and after I installed BBK shorty headers.
It's hard to tell much difference at idle, but in the upper rpm the car sounds more raw. I do find it interesting that my camera primarily picks up the mid-range sounds and not much of the base so the car does sound a bit different in person than it does online.
Thanks.

Sounds better. Now you need a good cat-back system & X-pipe. I put the BBK shorties on a few months ago. I should have done what you did and recorded before and after to hear the difference. Didn't gain any more seat in the pants performance, but I like being able to say that I install headers when crowing about my car.
No Drone with my set-up. I still have the burble & popping.

I fear drone terribly, and it seems every aftermarket system has some amount of drone.
The only replacment I would consider is a set of ti exhaust.
I don't want an x-pipe because I don't want to lose the burble and popping noises upon deceleration. I know some people hate that sound, but I LOVE IT!

The best I could describe the shortys re:sound is that they produced a "meaner" tone with very little if any volume increase........it's in the tone
