Staging area in Wi, a park & ride lot, before about 60 cars headed down to HP Performance Corvettes in Mundelein, Il. Very cool (maybe 50) and overcast.

Here we are at the show;
Arrived quite scattered, as we had to drive thru a few small towns in Wi. and Il. Traffic lights played havoc with trying to keep up with the others

Great turn out. Congrat's to HP on their open house/car show. Had a great time, the dogs were good, the Elimident guy was pretty cool, the cars were way cool, Tony Schumacher (sp) the stogie smoke'n top fuel guy was cool, the exotics were cool, hell, this was just an all around great event. This event sets the bar pretty high for the rest of the summer.

Randy,

What's the world coming to bro I thought your beauty did not go more than 15 miles in any one direction at any given time!

Looks like a great event and great pics. I had a hard yearning for seeing some hardcore drag cars so went to big bracket drag racing event at Route 66 as I needed to see sh it moving fast down the 1320!

Hey Jimmy, you have my #. You are so right, I generally don't leave the driveway if it's cloudy Trust me, I was eyeball'n the weather forcast by the minute. I was surprised I did not see more of the Crew there. It was nice seeing SlicVic, Matt, Ken, Steve & Jason there. I am sure I missed some of the crew I don't know very well (or at all), but it was organized very well. No crowds, parking was great, traffic was fine etc, etc. Today was my maided voyage this year and boy, it sure does feel good to get behind the wheel again Looking forward to seeing uze guys real soon. I hope Rt 66 was a gas, and I'm sure it was. I am looking forward to seeing your beast, you know the one you were going to leave STOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to hanging with you at Downers Grove/Rolling Meadows (I know that's a little far for you ) and Lombard on Saturday nights (geographically more in your comfort range and I promise I won't kick any small pebbles this year)!

That was a GREAT time! There were a LOT of very cool cars there (and some Ford's too. :P )

What a great turnout, and a very cool event. Thanks for hosting it, guys! I plan to get my pictures resized and uploaded tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone at HP and Joel for organizing another great event. Anyone see the lady that jumped out of her car and started throwing a hissy with the cop about all the people passing her?

Thanks to all Corvette Forum members for coming to the show. I know a lot of guys called me and dropped out due to weather at the last second, but the weather did hold out and we had 150 - 175 cars total. Lots of beautiful cars there and it was great seeing and meeting everyone.

Special Thanks to Craig and Kevin at HP Performance for putting on one heck of a show. It was was a great time and a lot of fun.

Best Regards,

Joel Gawronski

I was all set to make this and the brakes on one of the daily rides exploded, then had another little issue. Looks like I missed a good show.
