Default Parking brake houseing, HELP

I need to paint my parking brake houseing , i took the screw off of each side and it still won,t come off . It feels like there is something holding it in the back. What am i missing? 71 coupe.

You're missing the bolt that holds it on in the back :D It's behind the rear bulkhead, and screws into the metal support that is attached to the park brake console. I can't remember 100%, but I'm almost positive that the bolt goes in from the center storage compartment.

If it's like a 76, take the passenger side compartment out. Reach thru toward the center compartment and remove the bolt... I think it's a 3/8 or 7/16 head. Hope you have small hands. :D
