Changing out my Girlfriends 69 Engine
Well, LuckyGirl, Charles, and myself have been working all weekend on changing out LuckyGirls engine. We have run into several problems. Been very frustrating! We had the hardest time getting a bolt off of the belle housing and the engine. There was one bolt that cost us 2 hours of time! Today we tried to place the engine in the car, but the tranny would not hook up to the engine. So in 3 weeks or so, we will take the tranny out, and try to get the tranny and engine as one single unit and put it in. We learned a lot, and it was fun, but WOW! This is a lot of work!
We are placing a 350 ci engine pushing 300hp crate..it is a brand new long block from GM.
Pics will follow soon!

Excellent. Sounds like a good project.
Before I even got 1/2 way through your first paragraph I thought "Pull the trans with the engine!" it's much easier that way. Is it an auto or manual trans? If it's a manual, liningn up the clutch plate and putting the trans in is NOT an easy thing to do with the trans in the car.
Good luck! Keep us posted!
