390HP Crate take a look
Tell me what you think. I've been looking at some sites and found this one .

Vetteboy is correct. A new ZZ4 with Hot Cam they say makes around 410-420hp with a decent carb. The engine is brand new and should cost less in th elong run.

I am pleased with the 383 I just finished building but if I had it to do over again I would have bought a crate motor and got the warranty. Bill Mitchell for my money.

I have pondering the same thing for quite a while also. Check my previous posts(archives-posts I have created) for a wealth of information from forum members. The popular thought is a ZZ4 from GM. Great power and reliablity. You can get it with some options for even more power. Good luck :yesnod:
