holy granola bars batman the z06 had it by 7miles in trap speed and thats trapping 123 lol stickier tires on z06 lap times would have been alot closer than that.

Weird!!!
The Z06.....
-weighs 3170lbs (700lbs lighter)
-handles amazingly with more tire
-matches the GTR's braking distance
-had enough power to trap 7+mph faster!!!
Despite all this it was OVER FIVE seconds slower around a TWO minute track!
WOW.
Has this ever happened before???
The GTR must handle better than any car ever in the history of cars.
The Z06.....

Well at least they got "ugly" right. That thing is not easy on the eyes. Just when the EVO finally grew on me they plunk this turd in the bowl...

notice that those acceleration for gtr is with launch control! And yet z06 is so much faster to a 120 mph full 2 sec!!!! so z06 is clearly faster on a straight, but it looks like z06 is traction limited on the track???

I dont think there was haters, people were in a lot of denial! But again it looks like gtr will be fast till 100 mph or so... but from a roll z06 will pull it hard! From now on I like both of them!

Anyways, not sure why everybody is trying to fight it. The GTR and Z06 are amazing cars for below $100k. Even though the GTR is heavier, it has some advanced technology and its taking advantage of AWD/rear wheel drive system + better tires and brakes.
In the end, it's going to be a drivers race on the track and they type of track. So, 5 seconds more or less, both cars are amazing in their own perspectives.
You want a fun 2 seater = Z06
You want a 4 seater daily driver = GTR
You want to count a couple seconds at the track = track built car
If you got money= get all 3

There wasn't haters? Have you seen some of the post around here lately? How the GTR was a 2 ton tank and couldnt do anything to the Z06? Look I love my Z06 when it was stock, I love it now that it has set of turbos, but some of the Z06 owners need to get their head out of their behind and just give up's to a car that is clearly at its performance level. Do you remember how bad the Z06 was being hated on when it first came out? I remember jumping on The Alley and reading all these guys crying that our Z06s were junk, it was still a chevy, etc. I remember the CF peeps saying how the Dodge boys were cry babies. 3 years later I see the same Z06 owners talking all this smack about the GTR. Now I bet in the next 20 post some is going to say yeah we'll see when the ZR1 comes out. People there is another car at 70k making good power and performing just as good as our Z06 and looks like just a tad better on a road course. Why be bitter about it?

I have raced at Spring Mountain in the intermediate and advanced group and the times for C6 Z06 are very random and a lot more than 5 seconds.
Unless, you get two professional racers then that would be different.
We are comparing cars for your typical track day, right?

I'm just saying that if the GTR would've ran 5 seconds slower than the Z06 (with the same pro driver behind the wheel), I doubt anyone would be saying it's a drivers race with the Z06.
