I heard absolutely no complaints from our racers. Everything went very well.

Thank you guys and again congrats to all the winners.

The 3 second delay from stage to start was noticable, but i like knowing the tree isn't going to come down the moment i stage. Overall, i think it was an improvement

You mean 1.2 to 1.7 second delay

Autostart should be a non-issue.

Another nonissue as far as I could see was no more DEEP staging, at least the starter will not honor "DEEP" on your window, so if you wanted to stage deep, you had to stage first.

If so, then i still don't get it. I thought they increased to stage to start time from +/- 1 second to +/-3 seconds to give deep stagers some time to get in

3 sets of stage on you have 10 seconds to light the fourth
Once the fourth is on you have 1.2 to 1.7 for the first yellow to come on.

Deep stager has time but only if opponent does not light the fourth

Deep stagers no longer "have to" go in first. You just have to be able to deep stage within the autostart parmeters. No big deal.

Edgar, you can go in and fully shallow stage (both of your lights on). I'll still be able to fully deep stage and be ready to go out first. I did that at MG all last year. My benifit this year not being required to have deep on the car. Last season deep was not honored at the Grove and I lost count of the number of shallow cars that quick stage on me.

If you want to read 15 pages on the topic check this thread:

http://drr.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/t...2/m/7011025753

If you check page 7, Bud McNasby confirmed the change to 3 seconds. Bud runs a school at Atco, so i trust he's correct, but i guess every track might be different. I thought Wayne also confirmed the change on another post here, but not certain. I would be good to get confirmation tho.

I'd suggest that whatever the new rules are, that e-town post it on the flyer that they hand out when you pay your entry fee. Ya' know the flyer that lists the lane assignments and all that...

The only difference I saw was the lack of a quick tree, a good thing. Overall a good job by the starters as things were kept moving.
