I don't deal with Ecklers anymore but I have the one from VETTE BRAKES. I imagine they are the same or similar.

nastee383 & red73...noticed you're using similar electric fan setups. Will you provide some details (i.e. brand, model, specs, etc.)? And what (if any) mods were needed to the radiator, support, etc.?

Thanks...Mark

Could either of you guys with the spreader bar explain those spacers on either side of the heim joints please?
I'm getting bits together to make my own and was curious about those spacers and their application.
Thanks

Brutus,
I mad my own, Used 3/8" steel and a 1" tappable bar, can you say Beefy?

The 'Spacers' are just there to allow the rod end mount to straddle the upper A-Arm nut.
I don't think they are absolutely necessary...

BTW mine is made so it is between the two upper A-Arm nuts, It's pretty close to the front Nut, But I like where it is...

Default Re: spreader bar (427V8)

Thanks Keith...Mine will be able to be mounted pretty much wherever I want as like Red73 I have dual Flex-a-Lite elec fans fitted and can pick my position. I already have some 1 1/8" stainless thick wall tubing and am just waiting on some h/d heim joints from a mate who works for an airline here. The brackets will also be made from stainless with the whole lot polished of course.
Is there any other way? :D Pics to follow of course.

Default Re: spreader bar (Brutus)

I use the VB&P Spreader Bar, but I decided to replace the puny side brackets by selfmade Stainless steel ones.
I also chromed the center bar and the jam nuts (ok, ok, its getting weaker by chroming, but I disliked the black paint)
Have to dig for a pic of it.....
