Fun Time - How Fast Will My Rebuilt Vette Go!?!
I don't need no stinkin' G-Tech... I got all the help on the forum right here!
Here's the drill...
383 CI
stock qjet
stock exhaust (2 into 1 with cc)
200 4R with fourth gear at 0.67 ratio
3.08 rear gear
Stock weight ('76)
Whats my rebuilt car capable of...?

You forgot to mention how many hp/torque your engine puts out....
oh, and how much does your car weigh?? Then I will tell you! :)
oops, I forgot to READ.... a common affliction here.. you said, "stock weight" MJ

Don't know yet... I get the engine back tomorrow and may take several weeks to reinstall... then a few more weeks to tune and then off to the dyno.
The engine rebuilder spoke in terms of 350 to 390 hp depending on whether I had the small valve (?) or large valve heads (?). He never mentiontioned anything about the heads when he called. He did mention that he had to use a cam with "less" overlap to allow the engine to pass smog here in the basin.
Everything else in my life an analyze to death... this time I just told him to build it!

That kind of HP sounds great....just a shame you have to force it thru a 2-Y pipe system. Will a Hi-Flow Converter pass specs? If so, I think it would be an awfully good investment. Made a very nice gain in my stock L-48 by removing my Y-pipes and going to true duals. :yesnod: :seeya :flag
