Heater core: I can hear water flowing
through it. Is this normal? I don't recall hearing it before the rebuild which included a 160 deg thermostat and a Edelbrock aluminum high flow water pump. The car runs well and does not get hot anymore. It doesn't appear to be a constant sound, more off and on. Anyone else have a "babbling brook" in the cockpit???

Sounds like you introduced some air into the system. I think if you run the car without the radiator cap on,the heater to full heat with the front end elevated, you should hear a big belch. :cry <- (no burping smiley?)

My '71 gurgles for the first second or two right after I start it. After that it's quiet and provides
plenty of heat.
