Differences between Corvette ZR1 and Cadillac CTS engines

He said 11.0's ... for the older small blocks. Actually, the older bolts are usually good to 600 RWHP levels, on higher compression ratios than LS9 has ... so looks like GM is building in a healthy extra margin of error for new engine.

The higher the boost pressure, the higher the cylinder pressures and the stronger head bolts are required.
Plus GM probably knows guys will be bumping up the boost a day after they get it ... so I'm sure there is some safety margin. Of course, blow it up with a non-factory supercharger pulley and you're warranty is junk too.
