Has anyone tried these lights?
I've been thinking of replacing my standard tail lights with LEDs. These look good but their red, I don't know what the effect of putting red LEDs under red tail light lens, and I don't know if they will fit.

I haven't seen these before and haven't tried them. Before you send money, check with the DMV in your state to ensure you can legally use them. No sense having the cops on your tail trying to figure out what type of rear lamps you're running.

Your thinking red, I mean wrong. Get high output white LEDs. Then it will be red. They sell an adapter or replacement that already has the LEDs in a bayonet mount. These usually don't have that many LEDs on the "bulb" though.

First of all, those guys are HIGH PRICED. I've seen them for about $14 elsewhere. The big problem the DOT's are having is with the altezza style lights that don't display any red light to the sides of a vehicle(applys to newer vehicles without rear side markers). Such as pickup trucks. I agree with the other post, you would want clear LED's behind the red lens. And you would use the red LED's if you had clear lenses. Shop around.
