Default Looking for Parts places in the DFW area?

My dad is rebuilding a 1972 and is looking for parts in the DFW area.

He has an old cataloq from a place that may not exist anymore called Corvette Service, Inc. of Dallas. Anyone know if they still exist?

Second.....Can anyone give me URL's of good internet parts places and especially any in the DFW area?

Thanks in advance! :)

I live in southern OK, I have never seen anywhere in DFW for vette parts, although I'm sure there has to be one in a place that big. I have bought parts from a guy that has a shop in Waco.
IT's:
Uptmor's Corvette Parts
254-744-7463
254-799-1356
fuptmor@hot.rr.com

He has parts for 68-96 new and used. Evertime I've dealt with him I have been very pleased, and his prices are very good too. It's help me out to find somebody close who can find just about everthing I want for my car. (Well if you call 3 hours from here close, but hey better than the 10+ hours all the other places are. I also have the number to place in Tulsa if anybody needs that.

Hi, Jason - welcome to the forum. I see you're from DOOrant - I graduated from SOSU many, many years ago (hint: the 25th anniv. Vette was a brand new car). If you ever get to Dallas, let me know so we can meet for a beer and lie about our cars.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any good local parts suppliers - I get everything mail order. A buddy of mine found a good used rear axle yoke at Corvettes of Dallas - I understand they have a small supply of more common new and used parts. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. Apparently the Corvette Service doesn't exist anymore.

The catalog Dad had was from the mid 80's. :o

But he can check out some of this site sponsors. He does already have Ecklers and Mid-America catalogs.

As far as convience and buying online -- click 'Restoration Store' above. It goes to the Corvetteforum restoration store, which is run by Zip -- prices are a bit cheaper than the Zip catalog, and Zip supports the forum. Lots of diagrams and stuff on there, and pictures..

There are really no parts places in Dallas that can get you parts any faster or cheaper than the cataloges. Corvette service was bought out by a guy in Oklahoma and he basically took the inventory to Oklahoma. If you need good used parts there is a guy in Waco, Mark Uptmor that salvages vettes. He has resonable prices. 254-799-1356.

I seem to remember a story about a huge Corvette graveyard (used parts outlet) located somewhere in Texas. I can't remember much about it or even where I read it, but maybe someone can chime in with more info.

Graveyard I know about is: Pats Corvette Heavan in Austin, he is mainly in drag harleys now, but has parts also, mostly older midyears etc I think. Been a while since I was down there.
