Default This Is Really Bad

did you ever try crashing at 150MPH +?

well I did

this is how it happened, its my first visit to a drag strip, infact we just have ONE official drag strip in the UAE. We booked it for some corvettes, and for those who are active on the forum, you must have seen the thread.

5-6 Z06's went before me, they were all sliding LIKE HELL, as in 5th gear wheelspin, so they decided to spray the track with the sticky stuff, they did. A few cars went, then it was my turn.

btw all the Z06s did 14-17 seconds in the 1/4 without the prep, and 14-16 with lol same ****. A chevrolet Aveo sub 100hp car 1liter engine or something did 19 seconds, and a Shelby GT500 did 20 wow.

I started, no wheelspin, 2nd, 3rd, and then 4th at 240-250 KPH I crossed the finish line in 11.5 seconds which is a WOW compared to the crap I just saw, and for my first ever run, however the rear kicked out to the right, and the car lost control and started spinning in the middle of the track, I controlled the thing SOO Much, and tried to lower the speed as much as I could, but there was the wall coming to my face, and I smacked into the sidewall at a very high speed....

it was all caught on video, dont ask for the video cause I wont post it what I saw was my life flashing in front of me, and just before I hit the wall, I knew I was dead. Here I am no scratch, nothing.

the car is totalled as far as I know, however I wanted to ask:

is the chassis ONE PIECE? if it is then its totalled, if its like 3 pieces, is there any chance to replace/fix the front one? Where could I get that part from? The engine is fine, but I understand that the engine would have to be removed to fix the chassis, what am I looking at here?

bottom line is: I am impressed by the way the Z took the impact, and this was the first and last time I visit a dragstrip, at least not the **** dragstrip we have here with idiots who know who wtf they are doing.

Wow, glad you are all right. The car can be replace or repaired.

Kinda of a strange incident after the 1/4 though. 11.5 is a great run
for your first time, normally it hooks you to keep going.

it has nothing to do with the car, the track was like GLASS I think it was prepped before and dust caught up on the glue-stuff and it ended up being like glass.

Im telling you cars where spinning in 5th (stock Z) wtf??

I did NOT do 150mph in the 1/4, but I kept on going a little after the line, and thats what happened...

Now you're asking the person that witnessed the crash, I CANT REMEMBER ****, from the impact...

I still didn't see the video, ill see it tomorow, and sorry guyz but no pics for several personal reasons. I might show a few people, but nothing to brag about so it ain't gonna get posted here sorry

Glad to hear your alright! No pic is gonna get the though. When I carashed my srt8, I posted on the forum as a warning to all. Don't drive that pig in the rain ever! And to show what it went though and how the impact affected me and the vehicle. Call it my "dumba** collison review". Again, Glad your alright!

I think people on the forum know me enough not to say that, I will post the pic sometime, but im working on a few things right now (fixing the crap), and its not the best idea to post the pic, again for personal reasons.

for those who REALLY dont beleive, send me a PM tomorow and see it with your own eyes.

Once a C6 Z is in a serious accident like yours, the car is a write off! The frame is all aluminum and can't ever be repaired perfectly. Your insurance will not cover any repairs. It is considered totalled.
