Default 700R4 shifts hard into drive?

This is not on my Vette, but started all of a sudden. When I shift from park into Drive the shift is very forceful. While driving, until its warmed up the shifts are also hard. Anything wrong here?

Thanks
Len

My 2-3 shift is much more noticeably hard than my 1-2 shift, especially past 3000 revs. Also, when my vette is warming up, the throttle stays open just a little longer, and causes the shift to come just a little later, which makes it a bit harder.

The 700R4 behind my ZZ4 will chirp the tires in the garage when I shift into reverse or drive.
I am only running about 800 RPM idle. I figured it was from the firm shift and the semi-smooth floor.

It's an '89 out of a Suburban. Never had the hard shift before (putting it into drive). It alway shifted hard when starting out in the lower gears though. It's more of a jolt when put into drive from Park.

Sounds like the forward accumulator in the auxiliary valve body is gone.
