Default Help with cruise control

My cruise control isn't working on my 79.

How should I go about diagnosing and fixing it?

Default Re: Help with cruise control (JackCooper)

Off the top of my head (based on problems with my '77), I'd say check out the servo first http://users.erols.com/jerryp58/corv...emp/hoses2.jpg . There's a little ball chain in there that was rusted and had broken on mine. The cruise was "inconsistent" for quite some time and then all of the sudden, nothing. I guess that was when the chain broke. Other than that, assuming that your speedo is working correctly, I would check the linkage from the servo to the carb and the vacuum lines to the transducer.
