Has anyone ever heard of Schiefer gears before? Are they out of business? I have the sneaky suspicioun that they're a company from back in the day that didn't make it. Are they a quality gear?

Stingy the gear business has been pretty tough the last few years with many companies going belly up, Schiefer could be one of them  . I you have access to a up to date Thomas Registry, you can look under gear manufactures there for a number or address. :)

There's a set of gears I want and a place by the name of Gevo's Rears & Gears is selling them, and they are located in Syracuse N.Y., area code 315. Have you heard of these guys? Are they reputible?

I think you have the spelling off just a little but i remember them as a clutch and flywheel company who probably got swallowed up by a bigger fish (company). My gear of choice is genuine GM (or whoever made them for GM), if it matters. ...redvetracr
