Thanks Gerry. A week or two ago the "Forum Gods" sent out an e-mail to something under 300 people who had been a forum member since Dec 1999 and had over 1000 posts with an invitation for a personal avatar. I believe it you also get over 10,000 posts you qualify for "Elite Member" status and can also get a personal avatar - ie you hang around for a long time waiting, or you talk A LOT! :lol: :jester They are pretty kewl! :seeya

Jim, my one friend from Columbus,Oh here on the forum a few years ago was hit by 3 or 4 guys in a Ford pickup that were "stoned" out of their minds. It was a head-on on a narrow two lane road and my friend had nowhere to go. Also happened before he had a chance to do anything. They were hurt seriously, but are doing better but still recovering. The pick-up had to be "pushed over and off" the car by the paramedics when they arrived. They(the paramedics) thought no one could have survived in the Corvette. It was probably a combined impact of 100-110mph. The Corvette actually held up well for how it was hit. He literally threw the car away in a dumpster. Next to no parts salvageable. I did get the '75 owner's manual though.
