Any guesses on my vehicle weight?
I am trying to guesstimate my vehicle weight for my gtech. I know that it doesn't have to be exact, but I'd like to get pretty close before I can actually get it on a a scale.
Things that reduce weight:
No spare or spare carrier
No A/C
Aluminum heads and intake
Aluminum radiator
No P/S or P/B
Fiberglass rear spring
Things that add weight:
Lakewood bellhousing
17" Steel wheels
Anybody want to take a stab?

3300 lbs... Sounds like it would be pretty close to my car. I weigh in right around 3306.

Chris:
My guess would be about 3200lbs. My car weighs in at 3350, I weighed it at a weighing station nearby. The only weight reductions that I did were:
- Removed Spare Tire & Carrier
- Removed Old Exhaust ; Now Running Side Pipes
- Removed All AC Equipment
- Edelbrock Aluminum Intake
So my guess is 3200lbs.
FYI: I believe I remember hearing that a gallon of gas weighs 9lbs.

Hey Chris
Mine is also a 69 with stock motor (currently) , has spare tire, no power anything all stock stuff, alum wheels and weighs 3185. Yours should be less than mine by 30-50 lbs so I would guess 3150. Oh also my weight was with 1/4 tank. Gtech only needs weight for HP measurements incase you care. :flag

I don't know where wylie tx is but i'm sure you could find a "Co-op" station or any similar farm truck weighing facility and get an accurate reading for some red man tobacco change.

Chris A,
Mike 69 has probably guessed closest being that his setup is similar but I will take a stab at 3250 just for grins. :D

Weight of the car = 3217 lbs.
Don’t forget to add your weight to that total. :yesnod:

Re: Any guesses on my vehicle weight? (63Banshee)
Thanks for all of the replies. I think I'll use 3200 (plus my weight). I realize that the weight is only for the HP calculations, but I was just curious.
